Regional Firm with 4 offices located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and one office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin looking for CPA with Senior / Manager responsibilities for it’s Iron Mountain, Michigan office.
Looking for a motivated individual who is wanting to advance and grow with the company. Individual will participate in accounting and auditing of governmental and non–profit entities and privately owned businesses in a wide range of industries. Individual will also be responsible for tax preparation and consultation with clients.
This position will provide unlimited growth potential for those candidates who are motivated and looking to grow in public accounting.
Candidate could be responsible for all or some of the following responsibilities depending on experience and willingness to learn and grow:
Prepare personal and corporate tax returns as well as review returns prepared by Staff, and is available to Staff for consultation.
Also performs tax planning and preparation for individuals, estates, trusts, and small businesses and researches unusual tax matters.
Consult with clients on all business related matters including mergers and acquisitions.
Responsible for audit program approval, personnel scheduling, audit working papers review, financial statement disclosure footnote approval, day-to-day client relationships, determination of billings for engagements, and training and evaluation of Staff.
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA, preferred
– 1+ years of experience in auditing & 3+ years of experience in accounting preferred-
– Experience in preparation of tax returns preferred
– Strong understanding of advanced accounting principles and general ledgers
