Following graduation from Northern Michigan University, Brianne and Steve Farr moved west to “chase the dream.” They quickly realized there’s no place quite like the U.P. In San Francisco, the Farrs were missing a sense of community, world-class biking trails, and Lake Superior.
Returning home, they both found good-paying jobs that fit their adventurous lifestyle. In Marquette, Brianne is the Market Manager for ManPower where she oversees a team of local recruiters, along with roughly 100 ManPower associates throughout the U.P. Steve manages the marketing for Blackrocks Brewery and is an extraordinary outdoor photographer.
This year, the energetic family of four committed to spending 1,000+ hours outside – nearly three hours of sledding, hiking, and skiing every day. They are crazy-happy and couldn’t imagine living and raising their children anywhere other than home.
